Differance between SaaS, PaaS and IaaS

Today cloud computing is used in every field of online computing. There are three types of cloud servers which are used in it and it is very important to select most useful and effective one for your application. Therefore it is important to know the difference between these three types of cloud servers.

• Software as a service (SaaS): This type of cloud server is mostly used for providing services to the consumers. It provides the deployment of software to third party after managing the software. It uses application of customer relationships and management. E.g. Google apps and storage solutions like as Box and drop-box. There is no cost of installing, managing and updating. It is also available on subscription so there is no cost of license.

•  Platform as a service (PaaS): It is a lower level server than SaaS. It provides platform for the development and deployment of the software. Also It provides environment for the client software and takes care of operating system, server software and network infrastructure so that User can concentrate on business and application development. Google apps engine and Heroku are good examples of it.

• Infrastructure as a service (IaaS):  All the cloud servers get their resources from IaaS via Dashboard or API. Users of this server have access to "Virtual data center" and also they can use other traditional technologies and resources. They don't need to pay for maintenance and management capacity planning of it. It deploys servers, processes power and manages storage and networking automatically. It also develops deploys and controls SaaS, PaaS and other web-scale applications.
